I’m a member of York Artworkers’ Association and this year is the 25th Anniversary. To celebrate we have an exhibition of members’ work at Pyramid Gallery  on Stonegate. Up until 29th January, there’s a great range of work on display from glass artists, painters, ceramicists, jewellers etc. The photo below has details from one of my four pieces on display, inspired by ‘Little Boy Blue’.

    January 13, 2018 by Sarah

Today has been most enjoyable: I delivered a talk on Folk Art to Harrogate Embroiderers’ Guild. A lovely group of people with some good questions that kept me on my toes! Below is a photo showing detail from one of my Russian folk art pieces.

  10. Primary school banners

    November 25, 2014 by Sarah

In September I posted a photo of a poppy print from the workshops I’ve run with each of the 16 classes in a County Durham primary school. Together we have made 5 fabric banners, each 2 metres tall to hang between the windows of their lovely Victorian school building. You can see a photo of  part of one of the now completed banners below. The children were really proud of their work!
