This Sunday 12th November sees the return of the annual ‘Craft-y-Crawl’. From 12 noon to 4pm you can follow a map to visit various crafters/makers at different venues around the Bishopthorpe Rd/Southbank area. Location details can be found here: interactive map. I’ll be with 5 other makers in the Golden Ball pub on Cromwell Road. We’ll have a great range of art and craft for sale and you could treat yourself to a swift drink at the same time! Then on the weekend of 18th/19th November I’m in Pen 48 at ‘Crafts in the Pen‘ in Skipton. A huge array of different makers will be there from all over Yorkshire and Lancashire. Come and feast your eyes!

Busy, busy, busy! For the past couple of months I’ve been making lots of lovely things for a Christmas Chalet outside the Judge’s Lodgings on Lendal in York: on Saturday 5th, Sunday 6th, Thursday 17th & Friday 18th December. Come and feast your eyes on textile art pictures, cards, gifts and homeware items! There will be several artisan stalls selling their wares, organised by Britain Does Vintage.

I have a joint exhibition ‘Folk Threads’ with Kate Fenton at The Golden Ball which opens on Saturday 23rd May and runs until 24th July. Come along and see what you think – view the exhibition in the Garden Room when the pub is open! A lot of my pieces have been inspired by Russian and Eastern European folk art; I also have a number of Japanese inspired pieces.
