    May 9, 2017 by Sarah

This week is the Before I Die festival in York. A range of different events and  activities to help people prepare for – and learn more about – death, dying and bereavement. I will have some of my keepsake/memory-making art pieces at the Information Hub at York Theatre Royal on 11th May (11am to 2pm) and also at Briar House, Club Chambers on Museum Street on 14th May (11am to 12.30pm). Come and have a chat about how to turn those precious items hidden away into pieces of art for your home.

  8. ‘Organic Mechanic’ exhibition

    October 16, 2014 by Sarah

This Saturday sees the opening of the 1st Anniversary exhibition by the Open Art Collective entitled ‘Organic Mechanic’. Inspired by a suggestion put forward by someone in the community – ‘robots!’ – members of the collective have been beavering away on their latest pieces of art. Come along to the Golden Ball to see the exhibition in the Garden Room. I have one piece in the exhibition which is inspired by the work of the Russian avant-garde artists of the 1920s. I can’t believe that it is already one year ago that the collective was first formed!
